The employer of the dead man shows up, forces Frank to take the job, snaps a bracelet on his wrist that will explode if Frank gets more than 75 feet from his car, and sends Frank on a journey east with the young woman and a trunk full of something. She's Valentina, nearly mute. Can Frank figure out what's going on, deliver the package, and escape alive? And what does the ship have to do with it?

Movie Reviews

I read many of the reviews on rottentomatoes and almost did not go to see this movie. What a mistake that would have been. If you want to go to a movie, sit down and be entertained for 1 hour and 40 minutes with non stop action then this is the movie for you. I am not a serious movie critic I am just an average guy who wants to go to a movie that will be enjoyable. This movie is fun to watch from the beginning to the end. I asked others that were sitting near me what they thought of the movie and they all liked it. I thought that Jason Statham was perfect as Frank Martin. I wish that I had a body like that, I would do a striptease for a living. I enjoyed that the French Inspector was more involved in this movie over the last 2. He brought a lot of humor. The girl at first was annoying but she kind of grew on me and by the end of the movie I liked her.

Stars: Maiara Walsh, Tony Todd, Danny Trejo

Storyline

Movie Reviews

OK first lets get one thing out of the way. Tony Todd (Candy Man fame) has like 4 mins of screen time and Danny Trejo has like 5 mins out of the total 1 hour 13 mins of runtime. the rest of the cast is somewhat unknown or sidekicks from other movies.

Girl is kidnapped by three morons and from there on forward nothing makes sense. The way they kidnap her, the reason they kidnap her and the whole VAN trip is without any substance. Some blood is there but no impact like which you find in Quentin Tarantino movies.

The end fight is like it was choreographed for a school project. If you are looking for a movie like this which is actually good then please watch "The Baytown Outlaws" as i can recommended that any day.

Seriously just avoid this and find something else to watch cause in the end you will definitely feel like you have just wasted your money and a significant amount of time.

Movie Reviews

Saw this film last weekend at its world premiere at Sundance. First of all, Donald Margulies' script was fantastic. I am slightly partial to good writing in film, so perhaps that's just what stood out to me, but the dialogue is incredibly well-written and natural and at least generally captures David Foster Wallace's fascinating way of talking. In essence (and in the best of ways), nothing really happens in this movie. There isn't a lot of high stakes drama, but that's exactly what makes it so compelling. It's like we as the audience get a glimpse into two men struggling with the same ideas about life, art, expression, addiction, culture, and depression.

Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg live up to the task of interpreting the script, helped along the way by director James Ponsoldt. The direction is simple, and the camera work is relatively basic throughout, giving the actors plenty of room to work with natural rhythm. Segel definitely impressed me, as this was the first dramatic role I've seen him in. While he didn't exactly capture some of Wallace's real-life mannerisms, I'm not sure if that was exactly the point of the film. He interpreted the script in a powerful way, and I think that that ended up working out quite well for the overall tone of the film. Eisenberg played his usual somewhat neurotic, slightly asshole- ish character very well, and I thought it fit the reporter role perfectly.

Storyline

Buddy Hutchins is just a regular guy doing his best to support a wife and two kids. A recovering alcoholic, Buddy hasn't had a drink for the better part of a year, but it turns out the only reward for his good behavior is a failing business and a cheating wife. Throw in a ruthless bounty hunter and an hot-tempered ex, and Buddy's already short fuse is about to blow. Pushed over the edge and armed with a chainsaw, Buddy Hutchins is out for blood.

Movie Reviews

Buddy Hutchins stars Jamie Kennedy. While he's not exactly a household name and you might not immediately recognize his face, Kennedy has been a busy actor with about a hundred credits. However, I just can't see how doing films like this one will help his career or land him choice roles.

The first half of this film is very good and Kennedy is great playing a guy whose life keeps getting worse and worse and worse. At first you like him and he's trying to do the best that he can, but his sobriety and family life soon start crumbling away. But it gets far worse. In fact, I challenge you to find a film where anyone's life gets THIS bad so quickly! Heck, guys on death row would probably feel sorry for Buddy--it's THAT terrible! I appreciated this and expected that sooner or later Buddy would just snap. And, when he did, it was not his fault. I liked that the first two people he killed were clearly cases of self-defense--it made for an exciting second half. Unfortunately, when the film should have hit its stride, the movie just fell apart and looked almost like a Friday the 13th film--with Buddy brutally killing people who just didn't deserve it. And, many of the killings were frightfully gross (think chainsaws). Because of this, because the second half of the film lacked a plot and the resolution was so poor and because I worry that some folks might enjoy the movie TOO MUCH, I just hated Buddy Hutchins by the time it was over...and it took way, way too long for the final credits to roll by the way. It's all a shame, as clearly Jamie Kennedy is very talented--he did a great job in making you care about him and played an excellent 'dry drunk' (in essence, a guy who isn't using but is still stuck in the sick patterns of an alcoholic).

However, if you do watch this film, look for a very funny mistake. During Buddy's divorce trial, the judge says that the case is in California and there is a California flag behind him. Yet, there ALSO is a state seal for Nevada next to the flag as well. Oops!

Movie Reviews

I usually do not write reviews on IMDb. But i have to make an exception to this movie. This is the one hell of a epic movie i have watched till date. Starting from the beginning to the end, the movie takes you on a roller-coaster ride.

I do not have words to explain Vikram. He proved once again that he is not just a great actor, but also a hard worker too.

AR Rehman music is a real treat. Trust me, you will loose yourself listening to music.

Apart from vikram, every other co actors did their job well.

Overall this movie is best one to watch this weekend. If you got time to spend and willing to watch a movie, then go on and book your seats before someone steels yours.

Movie Reviews

How this movie got funding it is a mystery to me . To put it mildly movie is awful . Bad acting ,bad script ,bad directing ,no special effects, plot insults your intelligence ,characters insult your intelligence . It is like they got together one afternoon and decided to make a movie ,they shot it next day and this pile of S#%t is the result .It amazes me to know that in 21st century they can not find a decent script nor gather enough creativity to make something better than this . They made better indie movies than this in 60s and they had worse equipment less money and less talent . It would be greater pleasure to be sodomized for 80 minutes than to be forced to watch this "movie" again.

Movie Reviews

I enjoy this movie a lot its original and dark. But wasn't the scariest but it made up for it with a interesting storyline which keeps you guessing till the end. The acting in this movie was great for a movie of this size. The main actor/actress who made the film great was the roles played by Keir Gilchrist and Grace Phipps who i have never heard of before this film but in sure we will be seeing them again in more movies, the was one star in this movie everyone would of heard of and that's Peter Stormare who delivered a great performances as normal. I'm not sure of the budget for this film but it was well spent.

Overall great film, good storyline with great acting.
